Our History

1980

Geiger Electrical and Mechanical Engineering was founded by Mr. F. J. Geiger. With only a few employees the main business core focused on the repair and service of industrial washing machines, standby generator sets as well as switchboards. As the company grew over the years, so did its experience in other fields of business and a name was made in the installation of steam generation plants, autoclaves and incinerators country wide.

1995

Central Technical Supplies was founded as a daughter company to Geiger Electrical and Mechanical Engineering with its main focus on supplying the Namibian industry with products from fields such as automation, steam accessories and industrial control systems. Well-known brands such as Fluke, Danfoss, Phoenix Contact and others became associated with CTS over the many years of service.

1997

Frank W. Biederlack joins CTS

2003

Central Technical Supplies Branch opens at Walvis Bay to service the central coastal region of Namibia

2009

Oda Biederlack join CTS to run the financial department.

2010

Erik K. Lund joins CTS as Technical Director. Main responsibilities are to establish the Divisions of Automatic Weather Stations and Photovoltaic Power System.

2014

Niekie van Standen joins CTS as head of HR and Business Development.
